2018 Virtual Reality Experience, Device Commissioned by Museum aan de Stroom of Antwerp Engineering, Unity, 360° Photo, Oculus Rift, RaspberryPi

This device was designed to fill one mission: reduce the gap between the museum and the citizens of Antwerp. The MAScope is as a periscope, it allows the passing pedestrians to move from floor to floor and peek around, offering them a glimpse of the museum’s collection.

The MAScope is a tailor-made exploration device we built thanks to some of our partners expertise. The mechanical handles trigger actions in the virtual world through the use of a RaspberryPi micro-computer. It can be remotely administered and can host many different apps, making it very flexible.
